   Camp Fire CONNECTS

Camp Fire connects children with caring, trained adults in a small group atmosphere, while also connecting families with each other in their communities.

Camp Fire does this by offering age appropriate youth, teen, and family clubs. Using outcome rich curriculum, groups choose from a variety of fun and educational activities and projects. Clubs meet regularly throughout the year and participants may be involved over many years.

Little Stars is for Pre-K children, 3 - 5 years old.  Forming lasting relationships in and outside the family, exposure to music, nature, the community, nutrition and dramatic play help develop confidence and identity, and introduce Camp Fire values.

Starflight clubs provide kindergarten - 2nd graders with activities that focus on the outdoors, creativity, service, acquiring new skills, learning more about themselves and getting along with others.

In Adventure clubs, 3rd – 5th graders earn Action Crafts beads for all the new things they do and for the good habits they learn as they begin to accept more responsibility for choosing and planning their club activities.

As Discovery club members, 6th - 8th graders explore new interesting fields and begin to make gowns and tunics to wear during Camp Fire ceremonials as their adult leaders function more as an adviser than a supervisor.

In Horizon club, high school students participate in self-guided programs geared toward preparing them for adult responsibilities and community service, and may choose to earn a WoHeLo Award.

Community Family Clubs are for whole families, regardless of who makes up each family. The goal is to include at least one adult with every child who attends. Siblings of all ages are included. Developmental outcomes are identified for every age level, including adults.
