Campers in grades 1 and 2 live in these screened and glassed in cabins in the meadow that sleep 8 children and at least one counselor during the summer, many times assited by a CIT (counselor in training/Netahi). The unit name means "butterfly of happiness". For younger campers these cabins provide the feel of added security against nature. They have electric lights and ceiling fans. Aponita has it's own bathroom house and uses WoHeLo's showers.
Aponita Unit Song
We are Aponitas happy wearing scarves of red.
Butterflies of happiness bring hopes of joys ahead.
Every day we work and play
And then at night we rest.
And for Camp Hitaga we will
Always do our best. |
