The stable is one of the most popular places at Camp Hitaga . Stirrups and Saddles campers spend much of their time at the stable. The stable has a tack room, 14 horse stalls, a corral with newly installed hitching posts, and a large riding ring near by. Many trails for trail rides begin at the stable. For years, Camp Hitaga owned its own horses.  Now the camp leases, for the summer season, horses that are raised specifically for camp. The horses are very well behaved and easy to ride. The stable is a great place to learn many techniques required to be a successful horseman. Campers learn health and grooming of the horses, proper use and care for the equipment, and proper riding techniques.
